Kid's Art offers.... Weekly classes to students of all ages during the school year via sixteen week fall and spring sessions. Students may start classes at any point during the session with tuition prorated. Spring 2008 classes are listed below. Summer classes are offered via three day camps, two or four hours daily based on student age. Camps are offered eight weeks during the summer. All camps include a variety of activities. | Classes introduce students of all ages to different art media and techniques. Students are placed in classes based on age and ability. All students increase their visual perception, confidence, listening skills, problem solving abilities, and increase their self esteem at Kid’s Art. Students are encouraged to participate in the art shows scheduled at the end of the fall and spring sessions. | Older students learn the fundamentals of design and composit ion. They cover line, value, color, shape, size, and direction.The principles used are unity, conflict, dominance, repetition, alternation, balance, harmony, and gradation..We encourage exploration of charcoal, pastels (chalk, oil, and water soluble oil) watercolor, acrylics, watercolor pencils, sculpture, and more. |
Young students develop fine motor skills and explore their creativity through age appropriate drawing, painting, clay, construction, paper mac he, play dough and a wide variety of fun activities. Famous artists, art history, and color theory are introduced at various levels. |

Kid's Art Spring 2008 Classes3-5 year oldsScheduled upon demandArt play- This class is all about fun and improving fine motor skills. Activities include finger and brush painting, playdough, stencils, scissor handling, markers, puzzles, crafts and art games. Additional activities are added based upon ability. Kindergarten/3-7 year oldsTuesday 3:00-4:00 pm Wednesday 3:30-4:30 pm Friday 3:15-4:15 pm Art Fun- Class encourages creativity while developing small motor skills, listening skills, and gaining self esteem through a variety of activities and media including drawing,water color painting, tempra painting, finger painting, markers, crayons, play dough, printing, fabric, collage, construction, puzzles and art games. Class teaches colors, shapes, patterns, proper pencil and scissor handling. 1st-6th GradeMonday 2:00-3:00pmWednesday 4:30-5:30 pmThursday 4:00-5:00 pm Multi Media one-Students are further challenged thru a wide variety of media as they learn the fundamentals of shading, value, perspective, and elementary color theory. Media include clay, paper mache, carving, string art, glass painting, pencil, tempera, watercolor, watercolor pencil, charcoal, pastel, acrylic, etc. 7th thru adult
Wednesdays 5:30-6:30 pm Thursdays 5:15-6:15 pm Fridays 4:30-5:30 pm Drawing & Painting- Older students concentrate on fundamentals of design, sighting & referencing, composition, perspective, shading, value, and color theory using pencil, charcoal, pastel, oil pastel, watercolor, watercolor pencil, and acrylic.

Tuesday 10:30-12:00 1:30-2:30 4:00-5:30 Home school-Students experiment with various media including pencil, pastel, charcoal, clay, paper mache, and carving. Fundamentals of design, shading, perspective, value, and color theory are covered using additional media of watercolor, watercolor pencil, and acrylic. New home school classes can be added during the session for new students. Class placement can be determined by parents, ie, a family of students ages 6-16 can be in one class or parents can chose to place in classes by age and ability. **IF YOUR PREFERRED CLASS IS FULL CONTACT KID'S ART, NEW CLASSES OPEN THROUGHOUT THE SESSION AdultWednesdays 10:30-12:30 Drawing and Painting- Learn the concepts of value, shading , composition, and color theory through pencil, pastels, watercolor, and acrylic. Tuition, Terms and ConditionsTuition and payment options: No registration fee $10 supply fee as needed (all students will purchase brushes, pencil, tortillon, eraser that will be used only by them. It will be stored at Kid's art for your students use and will only be charged again whenever they need to replace them. If used properly by your student they should last several years. Tuition is due upon registration Payment Options: 1 hour weekly classes (16 per session) 4 payments $48 (1st month due at registration, remaining due the first week of Feb, Mar, April) or save 1 payment $178 due upon registration 1 1/2 hour weekly classes (16 per session) 4 payments $72 ( 1st month due at registration, remaining due the first week of Feb, Mar, April) or save 1 payment $262 due upon registration Adult classes 2 hour class, supplies provided, $25 per class 2 hour class, you provide supplies, $20 per class
Terms and Conditions: If an absence is reported prior to class a make-up class will be scheduled during another weekly class. If prior notice is not received make-ups are not allowed. If you drop your child off without calling you will be called to come pick up your student, your make up class MUST be scheduled ahead to ensure there is enough room for your child and that the scheduled class is not disrupted by accomodating your student. If your child's schedule changes contact Kid's Art as soon as you are aware that you have a conflict, if we are unable to reschedule your child into another class the balance of tuition will only be refunded with a two week notice.
